Our Shelter is undergoing a lot of changes at the current time, and so no one was surprised when the local FOX News affiliate showed up to make a report:

ReplyDeleteI have volunteered at plenty of shelters and worked at many kennels, both boarding and show/trial. Scenes, as shown in this video, should not be all that shocking, especially when dogs are kenneled in multiples of 3 and 4. I wouldn't judge a shelter on one early morning visit...
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome, though, that the county is funding some jobs. Our shelters tend to be last on the money list and in the challenging economic times to be budgeted for more help is about unheard of.
